CIPMA is pleased to welcome Norcan as CIPMA's newest member.  Norcan owns and operates a marine terminal with 1.3 million barrels of storage capacity located in the Port of Montréal. Norcan also leases storage facilities in the Port of Quebec City, enabling Norcan to supply a full range of petroleum products to its customers on a year-round basis.

Norcan is the largest independent import terminal operator in Canada.  Norcan is a private company owned by three of the original five shareholders who are also large independent service station operators in Eastern Canada: La Coop Fédérée, L.P. Therrien Inc., and MacEwen Petroleum Inc. They represent between 50-60% of Norcan's total sales volume; the balance is sold to other independents and major oil companies. Norcan has been the largest supplier of ethanol blended gasoline to the independents since 1995.
