Categories of membership
There are two categories of CIPMA membership:
Full membership is for independent (non-refiner) Canadian fuel marketers. CIPMA members are recognized as leaders in Canada’s fuel marketing industry. Full members vote to elect a Board of Directors to represent their interests in Ottawa and in provincial legislatures to ensure that their voices are heard. Members provide input to the Board and to CIPMA staff on priorities relating to legislative initiatives, as well as on the location, format and content of the Fuel Marketing Conference and other association management initiatives. Membership qualifies a member company for nomination to the Board. Membership fees (which are scaled to the size of the member company) help ensure that members’ voices will still be heard—and listened to—for many years to come.
Associate membership is for suppliers to the sector. Associate membership provides member companies with exclusive access to the association’s fuel marketing members as well as opportunities to promote their company’s brands and products to an industry who’s who at the annual Canadian Fuel Marketing Conference. Associate member companies are recognized publicly as key supporters of CIPMA members and of CIPMA’s mission.
